With my last pic of 2007 (okay, it's already 2008 but most of this was done last year
) I wish everyone a Happy New Year. 
I'm very glad this picture turned out so well, it's most certainly one of the best drawings I have done in my opinion. I really enjoyed painting the scenery in this. Hooray for multiple light sources!
Since lots of people seemed to like the style in my last painting, I decided to play around with lineless painting again. And oh yes, Rosalina is supposed to be standing on one of those rings that float around the observatory. I think one of them was pink...
The background was referenced from a SMG screenshot.

2007 was the year that not only when super mario galaxy came out but we were introduced to rosalina for the first time
